TF-OHMAT ANTI-ICE HEATING MATS
When used outdoors, heating mats create an intelligent de-icing system. They are designed to heat sidewalks and driveways to protect against snow and ice. Well-fitting heating mats put an end to winter snow shoveling and keep you safe with a dry surface. They are powered by 230V and installed directly under the surface of paving stones, paving stones or concrete screed. The mat is placed parallel to the drive axis over its entire width or in the vehicle wheel tracks. The mat consists of a two-core shielded heating cable with a tinned copper wire braid mounted on plastic strips and one power cable with a grounding cable. The outer coating of the heating cable has additional protection against damage on electrical connections.
Where is the Termofol TF-OHMAT set used?
Perfect for de-icing road surfaces and other traffic routes, e.g. sidewalks, securing machine and equipment elements, anti-icing protection of concrete structures.
Depending on the type of substrate, TF-OHMAT heating mats are installed:
– directly in concrete (in the case of concrete screed),
– in a layer of sand or dry concrete (in the case of paving stones, asphalt or paving slabs.
1. Heat-resistant PVC coating
2. Aluminum foil
3. XLPE insulation
4. Multi-core heating cable
Available lengths range from 2 to 32 meters (from 1m2 to 16m2). The power of the mat is 300W/m2. The length of the heating mat should be selected according to the dimensions of the heated surface. The shape of the mat can be corrected by cutting the mounting tapes. This must be done carefully so as not to damage the cable. Thanks to the pre-cut tape, the mat can be turned in the right direction.
The heating system consisting of TF-OHMAT heating mats should include a controller. Due to the fact that the controller is connected to a temperature and humidity sensor, it is able to "recognize" weather conditions. This only turns on the heating when necessary, i.e. during snowfall and freezing rain.
The load capacity of the Termofol TF-M1 regulator is 16 A. The total power of the installed heating cables cannot exceed 3.6 kW. The presented regulator includes a temperature and humidity sensor with a mounting sleeve.
The load capacity of the Termofol TF-M2 regulator is 3x 16 A. It is used in large installations. The presented regulator includes a temperature and humidity sensor with a mounting sleeve. It is possible to connect a second temperature and humidity sensor to the controller. This allows for control and anti-icing protection of two areas.
